In 2007 we got Tarzan. I used to always go on walks with him (yes, he liked going on walks!) and he would always sit on my lap while purring. He was a ginger/orange cat.
Everyone in our estate loved Tarzan as he was always a relaxed cat that harmed nobody. Every time I went out to the garden, he would be there and he would rub against my leg and I would pet him. He loved laying down in the grass with my company and I loved it too. He also loved playing with the green ball in the image above. I would pass it to him and he would pass it back!
In 2024, his nose was bleeding so we brought him to the vet and he got a scan. They found out that 3 of his teeth were infected and they had to get removed. After he got his teeth removed, he was in a bad state for a long time. His health started to decline and his kidneys were bad. His remaining teeth got bad as well so we had to feed him different food, and after a while, he couldn't eat anything. He lost lots of weight, he could barely walk and he was in pain. He was put to sleep and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the 17th of May 2025.
Rainbow Bridge Poem
This poem was shared to me by my aunt after she heard that Tarzan had died. I cried after reading it but it really reassured me that Tarzan was going to be okay and I would meet him again. Every time you feel sad about the loss of your pet and think you will never see him or her again, I would recommend reading the poem. Here is a website where you can create a memorial of your beloved pet who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Here is a website with comforting resources and stories dedicated to helping you deal with the loss of a pet.
Rest in Peace Tarzan - 2007-2025. You will always be remembered
